Where do our sports programs go from here?

As our school grows, so does our sports program.

Building a gymnasium seems like the logical move, but a gymnasium would change the village's character and unnecessarily add cost to the foundation.

After extensive research by the foundation board and consultation with the Urukundo Education Council, we will not build a gymnasium. The board will expand the area currently used for sports to allow spectators to watch school sports events. Workers will level the current field up to the tree-bordered fence. Bleachers for spectators will be constructed.

We will centralize and resurface the basketball court. We will create space between the guest house and the playing field for a fence to prevent balls from rolling down the mountain and delaying the game. This will give us what we need: a field where sports competitions can be held and families can attend. The cost will be much lower because we can use the removed soil to level the soccer field, and we won't need air conditioning. This open field also won't block the guest house's view or airflow.
