How Much Impact Does my Donation Really Have?

The children of Urukundo and the children of the surrounding community are completely dependent on your donations. 100% of your contributions are spent on the needs of each child including food, bedding, clothing, school supplies, mosquito nets, lodging, education, medical insurance, basic medicines, utilities, transportation, and, of course, water.

Here’s a list of some of the costs to give you a sense how little it takes to make a difference in a child’s life in Rwanda.

• $600 a year is all it costs to care for one child with all expenses included.
• Primary school with some additional support for our housed children is only $100 per year.
• Our Urukundo Scholarship Program currently sponsors 230 children at $15 each a year.
• Secondary school is $300 per year, including room and board. (All secondary schools in Rwanda are boarding schools.)
• University or Technical school is $1,500 per year. This amount includes the room and board.
