Rev. Sharon Landis is a retired pastor from the Central PA Conference of the United Methodist Church where she served eighteen years. She and her husband Tom recently moved to McAllen Texas where they attend St. Mark UMC in McAllen. Sharon attended Harrisburg Area Community College and Susquehanna University. They have three grown sons and ten grandchildren. Sharon has served as vice-president of the Juniata County Ministerium, and served on the boards of the Huntingdon County Food Pantry and Centre for Community Action, an agency which covered five counties in PA. Before retirement she was active in the camping program of the Central PA Conference and most recently developed a Quilting Camp. After several years of communicating with Arlene via e-mail she has visited Urukundo Village three times in the last four years and Tom has joined her for the most recent trip. Sharon serves as Interim President to the Board.

Sarah Ketchley sarah@hopemadereal.org
Born in the UK, Sarah attended the University of Birmingham, UK, graduating with a BA in Ancient History and Archaeology and a Ph.D in Egyptology. She is a Visiting Scholar in the Dept. of Near Eastern Languages and Civilization at the University of Washington where her research interests include Egyptian art history and the early exploration and excavation of Egypt. Sarah has four children and three stepchildren aged 8 to 21, and is married to Raymond O'Keefe. She visited Urukundo Home in January 2009 with her eldest son, Tom. Sarah attends University Unitarian Church in Seattle and believes in the spirituality of inclusion. The work Arlene is doing in Rwanda, in welcoming all, no matter their color or creed, embodies this philosophy. Sarah serves as Secretary and Webmaster to the Board of Hope Made Real.

Term of Office
The International Board includes no fewer than five and no more than nine members. Board members serve a two-year renewable term and are elected every two years. A member found to not be acting in the best interest of the board may be discontinued by a 2/3 majority vote.
